Scan a grocery receipt and earn points
Your receipt is the most accurate price list there is: it's what you actually paid. Scanning it saves those prices, and if you choose to share them, they help families near you see where things cost less.
Scan a receipt
- Open Scan receipt. On the Trip tab, tap Scan receipt. Then tap Scan with camera, or Choose photos or screenshots for an e-receipt or a long receipt from a store app.
- Let it read. Our own reader checks every line against the receipt's total before anything is saved.
- Review the lines. Tap any line to fix its match. Anything we couldn't prove is listed under Please check, so look there first. Use Add a missed item if a line was skipped.
- Save. Your prices are saved, and you earn points for the prices you share.
Sharing is your choice
Receipt sharing is off until you turn it on in Settings (Share receipt prices). When it's on, only the store, date, items and prices are shared. Never the photo, your name or card details. You can turn it off or delete what you shared at any time.
Long receipt? Take more than one photo, top to bottom. Overlapping parts are only counted once.
